Prima Bude

Planning inclusive spaces together

Prima Bude” [Great Place] was launched as a competition by the Stattbau agency. Ideas for improving places, where people with and without disabilities live together, were invited to be submitted. The winning bid was an inclusive housing project by Pfefferwerk Stadtkultur, for which two buildings in Berlin-Lichterfelde were converted into a student residence.

La Loma accompanied the project with a film and a brochure, which also document the way in which the process, from the initial planning to further meetings to the finished state of the house itself, was designed to be inclusive.

In the brochure, the interview that is central to the film, is accompanied by a timeline on the course of the project. In addition, there are five instructions on the methods that the planning participants used in their meetings. The attractively prepared materials not only serve as documentation, but also encourage other organisations to initiate inclusive housing projects.

  • development of the concept and storyboard
  • design and production of the title/intertitle by hand
  • filming on location and in the studio
  • editing and post-production
  • sound design
  • concept and design of the brochure according to the design recommendations for people with and without visual impairment
  • design of the brochure to match the clip
  • finalisation of the data for printing
