Oya

living fit for grandchildren [enkeltauglich leben]

The magazine “Oya” is published every two months and brings together a broad panorama of alternative approaches to shaping the future. La Loma has been illustrating and complementing the texts with information graphics for many years. The respective visualisation was developed from the topic dealt with and experiments were made with materials and forms. The fact that the article “Bodenlos” [Soilless] problematises the worldwide loss of fertile soil is reflected, for example, in the cups of soil and sand used for the graphics. And when Oya asks „Elektronik – bald fair und ökologisch?“ [Electronics – soon fair and ecological?], the photos taken by La Loma of the numerous components of a computer underline how difficult it is to produce sustainably and in a fair way.
