Weatherproof, easy to produce, and simple to assemble – these were the demands for the outdoor version of the Misinformation Edition. This edition of the Community Edition is printed on large banners and can be mounted on construction fences. The arrangement and number of banners adapt to the exhibition space: in a straight line, zigzag, closed, or open form.
Simultaneously, La Loma has designed the Easy Print version of this exhibition. In standard printer formats A4 and A3, it can be effortlessly self-printed and hung.
The Misinformation Edition tackles problematic aspects of social media and messaging services. Posters and apps in the exhibition concentrate on elements that contribute to (dis)information gathering – such as deepfakes that mimic our speech patterns and the methods that make smartphones addictive. In combination with the Data Detox Kit, these works raise awareness for responsible use of modern media. After all, we become authors of “fake news” ourselves when we share unchecked information with a click.
