The boundaries of our planet

The Stockholm Resilience Center defined the planetary boundaries, within which the human mankind could continue to develop without causing harm. The green area shows how far our consumption may reach, if we would like the next generations to also being able to enjoy our planet.

It is obvious, that these boundaries have already been crossed several times severly.

By now in the oceans are swimming six times more plastic than plankton.
Often these plastics are so microscopically small grounded, so that planktivores cannot distinguish between their food and plastic.
